How Much Is The World Getting Paid?

Global Payscale World Average Salary

The total value of the world’s income is closing in on an eye-watering $70 trillion per year. Wouldn’t it be great to know where on our planet you could get your hands on the most cash? Ecard Shack have created The Global PayScale to show us just that, revealing the top 10 average earnings across the world.

The PayScale uses data which depicts the average salaries of countries based on the average wages findings. The average wages of each country are obtained by dividing the total of the national-accounts-based wage bill by the average number of employees in the total economy. This figure is then multiplied by the ratio of the average usual weekly hours per full-time employee to the average usually weekly hours for all employees.

Do you live in one of the top 10 countries with the highest average earnings across the world? The chances are, you might. The main findings of The Global Salary Payscale shows that 70% of the top 10 highest paying countries for salary are European. If money makes your world go round, then packing up and relocating to Luxembourg seems like the way to go. Luxembourg is the top country in regards to earning the most money, with an average wage that pays $29.02 an hour. The USA takes 2nd place with an average wage of $28.22 an hour, whereas the United Kingdom fell short of the top 10 list - placing at 13th.
