Confessions of the Professions Adds Contributing Author List Display
December 15, 2021 — Constantly coming up with new ways to keep this website interesting and always seeking out new and unique materials, we have finally wrote the script, quite literally, that pulls in every author and displays their articles. We had relied solely on Confessions Archive to display every article, but for the past few years, we had only dreamed of a way to display the authors of these articles. Today, we have published a page with every Author who has contributed to this website including the articles they have contributed to the website.
After learning about multidimensional arrays, a script was written to pull every author from the database, along with their articles, and put them on display. We wanted to properly give all of our authors, over a thousand of them, the recognition they deserve, along with everything they have written. For years, I personally had known, from emails I have received and the 9+ year history of the website, I had spoken to hundreds to thousands of contributing authors, but I had no way to truly prove it, or even determine how many authors were actually on this website. Fortunately, all of this information is now available on the Authors page.
Without these authors, this website would not be what it is today or have been encourage to continue on for so long, and with this amazing display of our wonderful authors, we know now just how popular this website is, just from the contributing authors alone. Whether you are an author and have submitted a single article or dozens or even hundreds, we want to thank you for believing in Confessions of the Professions. While I personally am responsible for writing over 500 articles, there are nearly 4,000 articles on this website as of this writing.
In the beginning, I had made a quick decision after just one week what I wanted this website to be, and that was a community based on the one thing we all have in common: we all have to go to work and we all have to make money. If you do not have to go to work and do not have to make money, then I can only assume you are a child or a completely spoiled individual, but being part of this Earth and of the species we call humans, most of us are not exempt from the happenings of going to work. This community of authors understands the main focus of this website, which is our interest in jobs, careers, and the workplace, or more specifically, human treatment and psychology in the workplace.
We are happy to share our author list with you and appreciate all of our authors who believed in us when we were ready to give up and fade into the oblivion, and yet, here we are almost a decade later and still going strong because of you, who are part of this great community we call Confessions of the Professions. Thank you for taking part and doing more than just being a reader, but wanting to contribute something to the world. You are greatly appreciated.
