Workplace Confidential: What Are You Watching?
With high speed Internet access and a wonderful video website known as YouTube, along with many other video websites, it is hard to imagine a workplace where people are not watching at least one or two videos a week. Whether they are sent by email, instant message, or someone just happens to come upon it when trolling Facebook or YouTube, there is at least one employee watching something on YouTube. Watching online videos at work, whether a company video, a humorous video, a serious video, or just a random video is becoming more commonplace. Since streaming videos can be downloaded within a few seconds to under a minute, it is no wonder why people will watching videos while at work. Sharing videos in emails with co-workers or bosses is somewhat of an acceptable practice, so long as the video is appropriate and work safe.
Everyone is watching something, which means that no one is doing any work. Get to work! Well, if you are actually working, good for you.
