When Will You Be A Millionaire?
Let’s face it, we have all sat around with a group of friends and imagined what it would be like to become a millionaire. The scenario often involves winning the lottery and how on earth we would cope with having such a ridiculous amount of cash in our bank accounts. Would you buy a supercar? Perhaps a couple of mansions in the south of France? Maybe you’d give it to charity? Perhaps you’d do all of the above, it is a dream that we have all talked about for days!
However, if we return to the real world for a second and imagine we are never lucky enough to win the lottery, how long would it take us to earn those millions by simply working hard in our current jobs? Thankfully, this question has been answered for us in this interesting infographic by silverdoor.co.uk. Titled ‘How Long Would It Take To Become A Millionaire?’, this infographic takes a number of different occupations and their average salaries, then calculates how many years it would take to achieve six figures.
It covers everything from a taxi driver to an airline pilot, so, whatever you do to pay the bills, you should find something representative of it. Take a look for yourself below.

HOW LONG WOULD IT TAKE TO BECOME A MILLIONAIRE?
We’ve all done it. Gone a bit ‘Del Boy’ and allowed ourselves to dream of what it would be like to be a millionaire. But unless you strike lucky in the EuroMillions, it looks like the only way it’s going to happen is through hard work, and some serious saving. Or not!
As it happens, the average person puts 7.76% of their annual income into a savings account, so for a bit of fun, we’ve decided to look at a number of occupations and their average salary (after tax) and see how long it would theoretically take for you to finally see seven digits sat in your account.
