Everyone wants to be a winner, but what is the secret to success? For some, winning take years of hard work but for others it can be a stroke of luck. But when we combine the world’s winners, what do they have in common?

To find out the similarities between winners, Betway have studied 236 21st Century winners from the Grammys to the Brits, to the Olympics to Wimbledon, to find out what they have in common.

Key findings highlighted:

• Average age of a first time winner – 32
• The most common period of life to win is in your twenties
• The most common birth year for winners – 1981
• Winners are typically educated to a degree level
• On average winners will have been competing/working within their industry for 13 years before their first win
• Winners were most commonly born on – Tuesday
• The most winning star sign – Cancer
