Painting Your Exterior
Painting your home’s exterior is not just a matter of just choosing the right palette and just putting on your wall. There are some considerations that you need to bear in mind to ensure that you achieve your desired results and to ensure that the time and money you spend are worth it.
Typically, home exterior painting starts with choosing a paint color. When you factor in the nuance of the color, i.e. how shades can vary depending on light, texture, and the colors around them, it can be challenging to choose the right one to apply. It is therefore important to examine the area where you intend to paint to ensure that the color you pick is the color you get once the paint has dried.
Preparation for the application comes after you choose the color you want. This includes anticipating the weather for the next 2-3 days, and treatment of the surface to remove dirt, grime, mildew, and chalky residue. This is the most important aspect of the project as humidity, and foreign objects on the surface can negatively affect the appearance of the exterior.
