RS Components have created an interactive map, which you can view here, which reveals the UK cities with the fastest and slowest average download speeds, according to Ofcom data.
Here are some highlights of interest:
City of London has the slowest broadband speed in the UK, with an average download speed of 17.1 Mbit/s, meaning it would take 37 minutes 40 seconds on average, to download a HD movie (4.5GB)
The Cotswolds have the quickest broadband speed in the UK, taking on average 6 minutes and 46 seconds to download a HD movie, at speeds of 95 Mbit/s
