Confessions of the Professions Displays Future Articles
September 14, 2020 — We have been wanting to do it for a while and it took a while to introduce a great new feature, but in our efforts to be transparent, we are now showing all of our visitors the upcoming articles. This is, of course, always subject to change at any moment’s notice, but for the most part, the upcoming articles is quite accurate, and will show up to 30 articles in the future.
We do have priority publications which may alter the scheduled dates of articles and push several back. We ask that our contributors understand this leeway and that their articles may go out up to 1-2 days after what was originally quoted, but since most of our contributors use the free queue, they will be able to see their article and when it will be published. There is not much in the form of leeway of moving around free articles, though paid articles will always be rushed to the front of the line. We publish up to 3 article per day, as this works for us and most of our visitors, who enjoy a good read. We decided anymore than this may overwhelm our visitors or be too much. In the future, we may increase this number, but for now, we’ve decided 3 is the magic number and are happy publishing at least 3 confessions per day. While you cannot view the actual article, you will be able to see the date it is scheduled to be published and the title of the article. This will allow our visitors to look forward to upcoming articles, and it will allow our contributors to know when their articles will be published.
We hope this feature will help our guests and contributors understand what is coming up next. While we were hesitant to release this, as the surprise was in coming back to check for new articles, we feel it is best to give you the entire editorial calendar for up to a month, which will help you understand our publishing schedule and help you in finalizing your own calendar.
