The Alternative To Pasta
I discovered shirataki noodles… and my life was forever changed. Traditional pasta is amazing. It tastes great and has been a staple in almost all Italian families since, well, as long as we’ve been alive, we’ve had family meals where you had multiple plates of spaghetti with sauce, or gravy, as your mother called it.
Unfortuantely, while your mother told you that you were cute and chubby, inside, you realized you were putting on the pounds and not sure why. No one told you that eating carbs with carbs on top of carbs inside of carbs and having carbs for dessert was going to make you fat. When you were young, you probably ran around, and you were very active, which kept you skinny and a good weight.
As you got older, you got a little less active — okay, seriously, a lot less active — but your food intake on Sundays did not change. You ate a nice salad with croutons (carbs) and you probably loaded it with your favorite dressing, Ranch or Italian. After that, you reached for a plate of pasta, threw tons of sauce on it, and then you also grabbed bread, sausage, or meatballs. After that, if you’re from New Jersey or New York, don’t forget the damn Canolis!
And if you say no to any of this food, you will offend your mother! So don’t do that! But seriously, tell her about Shirataki pasta and you can have three plates and it still will not reach the carbohydrate or calorie level than three plates of regular pasta! That’s right! You can eat a lot of these noodles and you will not gain any weight at all! Okay, unless you manage to scarf down 3500 calories worth of these noodles, but they are packed with fiber that you’ll be feeling full after your first or second plate.
These noodles will help you lose weight and keep the weight off! But… you have to give up the regular pasta!
