Imagine waking up one day to find out a loved one or even if you reverse it, you, are dead. Gone. Out of this world. The news was that soandso took their own life. It was their last day on Earth. The last breath they took. The last time they will ever eat anything. The last time they will ever live there. Or know their family. Or know you. As you were. Or them. Never to spend another day on this planet above the soil. Chances are, if you look just at any length of friends you’ve had or friends you’ve lost, there may be one who died as a result of suicide.
Suicide is an eternal impact that affects your entire life, your job, your friends, family, co-workers, and even your neighbors. Death is just that way but the younger you are, the more unexpected it is. Before anyone dies, you’d want to make sure everyone is settled to receive what you want to give, though this gets hard because nothing is ever as it seems, and it can result in miscommunications and family not speaking.
If you are reading this, you may just be looking for information. Or you may be feeling suicidal. Please. Don’t do it. You are worth it. Your life has value here on this Earth. You are only you just once in your entire lifetime. It is unfortunate that no matter what you do, you have to own up to your actions and live through the consequences, but it is often better than the alternative, almost always. Spend as much time above ground and living as you can. It’s not always going to be a great life. It may be the best life you’ve ever had. And you didn’t even know it at the time.
Whatever the case may be, stay here. Stay as long as you can. In the words of Billy Madison:

Suicide is a global problem that affects people of all ages, genders, and socioeconomic backgrounds. Every year, over 700,000 people die by suicide, which is one person every 40 seconds.
Suicide has a ripple effect that goes far beyond the individual who takes their own life. It impacts their loved ones, their community, and even the world at large.
- The loved ones of someone who dies by suicide are at an increased risk of suicide themselves. They may also experience feelings of guilt, anger, and sadness.
- The community where a suicide occurs can be affected by the loss of a member of their community. They may feel a sense of fear or insecurity, and they may be less likely to reach out for help if they are struggling with their own mental health.
- Suicide can have a negative impact on the world at large. It can lead to increased stigma around mental health, and it can make it more difficult for people to get the help they need.
There are a number of things that can be done to prevent suicide, including:
- Talking about suicide openly and honestly. This can help to reduce the stigma around mental health and make it more likely that people will seek help if they are struggling.
- Educating people about the warning signs of suicide. This can help people to identify someone who may be at risk and get them the help they need.
- Making mental health care more accessible. This means making sure that people have access to affordable and effective treatment.
Suicide is a serious problem, but it is one that can be prevented. By talking about suicide openly and honestly, educating people about the warning signs, and making mental health care more accessible, we can help to save lives.
