Confessions of the Professions Author Data Display
July 26, 2015 — Confessions of the Professions is a website that is run by volunteers, mostly those who contribute articles, confessions, infographics, and more. Confessions of the Professions serves as a source of information and knowledge to be shared with the Internet covering a variety of topics specifically focused on jobs, careers, and the workplace. The option to remain anonymous or be known has been our motto since our creation. If someone wants to be known for their writing, they should be known, and given credit as the author for their writing. If a person chooses to remain anonymous, we allow for that to be an option as well, and there are plenty of people who wish to remain anonymous, but speak their minds.
We feel that the ability to write an article or confession, without signing up with an email address or any social media account is important in order to remain completely anonymous. We understand the importance of privacy and the fact that there are people out there who are no stranger to being fired, because of something used against them from their social media account. Often times, someone may post something related to work, whether it is a confidential story, or a rant, and if they are found out, they risk being fired. On Confessions of the Professions, as far as we know, ZERO people have been fired because of publishing something on our website and ZERO people have been found out by their jobs.
On the other hand, for those people who want to be known for their articles, infographics, ebooks, confessions, rants, etc., we also offer that option in the form of publishing your name, email, and website along with any social media account you wish to make public in your article. We know there are plenty of people who need a home for their articles, clients, etc., and we are happy to be the home for your articles. We also know there are plenty of people who want to display their work proudly on our website with their jobs, clients, friend, family, etc.
For every article that is published on Confessions of the Professions, there is plenty of data available that is stored in our database. We have worked hard to ensure this information is displayed properly on our website, which can be found on the navigation menu under Confessions > Data. This data includes:
- Authors in ABC List Order
- Author Contribution Count
- Comments
- Confessions
- Hashtags
- Searches
- Tags
All authors now have their own page, complete with all the articles they contributed. At the top of every article, click on the author name to reveal a list of their confessions. For example, you could see all the posts just from Matthew Gates.
We hope this data will be useful for you and help you find what you are looking for, whether it is a specific confession, or an entire list of articles by a specific author. We will continue to work on bringing more data to you as it becomes available.
