Confessions of the Professions Creates New Logo
November 1, 2019 — You’ve been eyeing it for a few days now. You probably didn’t even really notice it because you don’t notice logos, or do you? Well, we used to have one and with changes to our website over the past few years, we actually lost it. With a switch over to a CDN and a few dead computers that warranted buying new ones, we accidentally lost our original logo. We don’t even really remember what it looked like. We didn’t even do anything about it for years, not even focusing on it, hoping you wouldn’t notice. And no one seemed to really notice that much. Or at least, their mission for the website remained as goal-oriented as ours: on unique content. Yup, we were more focused on content than anything else, and it has worked for the past 7 years.
Looking at what we want to do and how we want to present ourselves for 2020 and going forward, however, we realized we do need a new logo. A logo with class. A logo with style. A logo that isn’t too distracting, but still somehow manages to let you know it is there. A logo with some measurement of script’esque. And so, we created one. Not only did we lose our logo, but a former teacher of mine, from 20 years ago, was looking at the website, and asked why there was no favicon. So it was re-created and added so that on your address bar, you should see something that looks almost like the letter C – for Confessions.
If you want to send in your own logo submissions for Confessions of the Professions showing your own vision of how you think the website logo should look, please feel free. For now, however, we are going to keep looking at our lovely new one. We cannot reveal the font we used, but it is somewhat common. You may not find it on every website or mainstream media source, but it is a font that is popular in Japan and a few parts around the United States.
So, without further ado, which you could have already seen above, we’ll show it to you again. We hope you love it as much as we do! Here is our new official Confessions of the Professions logo:
