You have the Holiday off! So do we!
May 25, 2014 — Confessions of the Professions loves to publish great articles and if we could, we would do it everyday of the year. It did happen in 2013 to 2014 – there were only a few days that an article or confession was not published, but over 600 articles were published last year into this year. While we still have an abundance of confessions to be confessed, articles to be written, we want to savor the moments and give you some time to actually read them! We will continue publishing 5 days a week, 365 days a year, unless something major happens and we cannot get to the computer! It has happened!
From now on, however, we will not be publishing any articles in observance of all major holidays. We also feel that if you don’t need to work, we don’t work. Okay, this is not really work, it’s fun, but we want to have other fun — bike riding, swimming, shopping, and doing nothing all day! Haven’t we earned it? While there are some people still have to work on holidays, we will officially be going by the “Office Schedule” which means that we will have off on all major government holidays. If the United States Post Office is off, we are off for the day too.These holidays are:
- New Year’s Day
- Birthday of Martin Luther King, Jr.
- Washington’s Birthday
- Memorial Day
- Independence Day (4th of July)
- Labor Day
- Columbus Day
- Veterans Day
- Thanksgiving Day
- Christmas Day
With the exception of Christmas and New Years Day — we may or may not publish articles on those days. We are not sure yet, but for now, we want those days off too unless we are bored and want to entertain you! We want weekends off and got them off, and now we want Holidays off too! Oh wait, that’s right. We are our own boss! Therefore, we are giving ourselves off on Holidays! You enjoy your holidays off too, unless its Memorial Day, than you should be honoring and respecting those who fought for this country, fought for you, and gave their lives including those who are Veterans.
If you get holidays, please enjoy those days with your families! You can still come to Confessions of the Professions and read some confessions or articles – we definitely do not mind. But just do all you can to enjoy the day off! We all work like crazy so why not enjoy it? We can be entitled to the few extra days that we have off during the year.
