If you run your own blog or website, the hardest part is not in coming up with the design or even learning HTML. Most people who know nothing about web development can get a website up and running in minutes. So where does the challenge lie? In writing good unique articles that make people interested in reading more. So how do you write more articles?
Decide what type of website you want to be, where your knowledge base lies, and what you feel most comfortable writing about. Once you know this, you can write many articles about your topic or topics of choice. If you have a thought about an article, let it freely flow through you. Write down what you can, even if it is just an idea, a word, or a short sentence which may not fully make sense right now, but get enough out so that you can understand what you were trying to say when you return to it later. You can always return to it afterwards and figure out what you were trying to say. Sometimes it is best to be around people when thinking, but the majority of the time, it is better to be alone with your thoughts — take a hot bath, get access to a jacuzzi or a sauna if you can, and be alone with your thoughts for a while. Alone time can be a very good time.
The best thing you can do when it comes to writing articles is learn how to write outlines. You start off with an introduction — what are you trying to say, what points are you trying to get across, what do you want your readers to know? Then start making bullet points of what to talk about for the body. After you are done, you always want to have a good closing sentence — something that leaves your readers wanting more, something that challenges your readers to think or makes your readers agree with or argue against you.
Just because you write it does not mean it needs to be published immediately. Take a few days off and return back to it to make your changes, add things, or remove things from your article. In best practice, you should write a ton of articles before publishing them. Never publish them immediately after one another. Wait a few days, wait a few months — there is no rush. However, do remember that the more articles you write, the more chances you open your website to being discovered by human beings and search engines. And also, don’t forget to add sharing social media options for your readers to share what they have read.
