Every Company Thrives on Reviews
We all buy things online and find that most of these products are often cheaper than going to an actual store. What is the catch of buying online vs. going to a store? Instant gratification. When you buy online, you must usually pay for the shipping and handling of the product, which can jack up the price by a few dollars, though you may findi buying online still cheaper than buying at a physical store location. However, by ordering online, you will not receive your product immediately, and it could take anywhere from one day to seven business days, and sometimes products may take up to a month until you receive them.
After you buy your product, whether you are satisfied or not, most companies want to know whether you are satisfied with your purchase. In order to find out, they may email you to take a survey or leave a review. Amazon, especially has become a popular place to leave reviews. Many people still do not leave responses to products they purchased, often believing they are done after they received and are satisfied with the product.
The one additional step after receiving a product and being satisfied or not, is to leave feedback on the item that you purchased. Not only are you reviewing a company product, but you are helping others to determine whether they should buy the product or not. Reviews are everything and are often determining factors as to whether a product is worth purchasing.
It is like walking into a store and seeing how much of a product is left on a shelf. If the shelf is half empty of this specific product, people are buying it, and it is probably worth buying. If the shelf is full for several days, than the item is probably not good, as no one is buying it. When you leave a review, people can determine the popularity of the product, as most companies do not actually display the amount of times an item was purchased online.
Many products have different side effects, especially herbal and drug-related medications or nutritional supplements available on the Internet, so a person can make their own judgement on whether to purchase an item based on the review others leave. The more reviews a product has, the more likely it will be seen and bought, if the reviews are positive.
A good review or a bad review can make or break a product, determining its future continuation on the production line. If a product never sells, there would be no reason to continue making it. These reviews also help a company to understand what their customers like or do not like, as this provides direct feedback and insight into determining what is actually wrong or so great about a product. Personal reviews talk to every person involved in the product.
You may be the pioneer to review the product, but you are paving the way for others to leave comments. People who see comments are more inclined to leave comments, so leave a comment reviewing a product. Be sure to use proper English and let others know your experience exactly they way it happened. While most people will not always share the same experience, reading a review can be the guidance for others to avoid a bad experience.
Reviews may not always be for products, but actual companies, people, and places such as reviewing the customer service experience of a certain business, or a place you recently visited. Every review helps someone out there who is reading and looking to find out more information about a product. Reviews are taken very seriously on the Internet and most people use them more often than reading the actual information and descriptions left by the company themselves.
One negative review out of many positive reviews can affect the status and well-being of a company. While no company ever wants to receive a bad review, the best thing the company can do is justify or authenticate the review, and be as honest as possible. Reviewers reading the review of a product should weigh the positive as well as the negative comments, as one person having a bad day, can write how they feel at that specific moment they wrote the review, but not really mean what they wrote. For example, I had made a dinner once from a popular recipe website, and the majority of reviews were very positive, with only one review leaving a one star, and while the comment was not bad, the person said that this specific recipe just did not suit the taste buds. When I made the recipe, it was delicious. Not all reviews will be the determining factor of what you actually experience.
If you love a product so much or you hate a product with a passion, consider writing a review on Amazon, starting a blog to review products, or other review sites. You are doing the world a favor by leaving reviews. The whole process takes less than 10 minutes and is also saving many other people time and money in the process.
