CEOs for some of the largest corporations in the world received yet another raise last year.
According to data from Equilar, the median pay for the Fortune 500 CEOs rose to a huge $11 million in 2016. We’ve compared some of the highest earning CEO salaries at Fortune 500 companies to the average worker pay to reveal the huge difference in take home salaries:
- Apple – CEO Tim Cook earns $1,0281,327 whilst the average earning of his staff is just $72,000
- General Motors – Mary Barra earns $226,000,000 in comparison to the average worker pay of $81,000
- Verzion – John Stratton earns $6938650 in comparison to her staff at just $61,000
- Berkshire Hathaway – Warren Buffett earns $100,000 and his employees earn $55,000 on average
