My name is Jessica Cooper, and I’m writing to you today to say thank you for the outstanding resources that your website provides for veterans in need of mental health support. I personally have struggled in the past with addiction and am proud to say that I am in recovery working my program one day at a time.
Part of my recovery is giving back and helping other individuals who are struggling to overcome the same mental health battles that I have endured in the past. I now manage the Community Outreach team for an Addiction Support site, Addiction Group.
Substance abuse often precedes suicidal behavior in military veterans. Approximately 30 percent of military suicides involved drug or alcohol use. This is one of the reasons Addiction Group was founded.
Addiction Group is dedicated to help individuals (especially veterans) suffering from substance abuse and prevent new cases through credible information and spreading awareness to as many as we can reach.
I strongly believe Addiction and more importantly, Recovery is a topic that we can help your website cover more extensively. Would you mind taking a look at our https://www.addictiongroup.org/alcohol/addiction/aud/ page and include us as another valuable resource under your Resources section at http://confessionsoftheprofessions.com/veteran-and-disability-related-resources/? Thank you again for all that you do to support our shared cause and I hope to hear from you soon!
