62% Of MLB Fans Like The New Pitch Clock
The MLB just had one of its biggest early-season weekends for attendance in years, but a new survey found that 1 in 4 fans don’t consider baseball to be America’s pastime anymore.
The survey found that 62% of MLB fans are all in favor of the pitch clock. In fact, 42% of fans are planning on attending more games this year specifically because of this new rule.
While 79% of fans are still planning on attending MLB games this year, it’s no secret that baseball games can be long, and 50% of fans agree.
- 55% of fans say they have turned off an MLB game on TV because it was too long
- 30% have left a game because it was taking too long
- 39% of fans have even called baseball boring
The top reason people like the pitch clock is that it moves the game along, making it more exciting and engaging.
