New research released today has compared the journeys of the world’s richest self-made billionaires to find out how long it took to hit the $1 billion mark.
The study reveals the average time to hit a billion dollars is 21 years.

Russians made their first billion quicker than any other country, many of which made their fortunes in oil, metals and minings.
