Defeating The COVID-19 Virus
The interesting thing about the CCP virus or COVID-19 is that we definitely have some solid information about it, but that we, with all of our genius, can’t figure out how to defeat the virus. In the news and even by most experts, you can hear that a definite vaccine is no less than 18 months away, and that just means the trials. As we sit in our houses thinking about what is going to happen tomorrow, knowing that we are trapped in our homes with a government who is just as clueless, but here is the way to do it.
Unfortunately, this does not concern those who already have the virus, because you did have your own psychological battle to fight while you were mostly struggling to breathe for however long the virus ran in you. You made it. You have done it. You survived a pandemic that is going to be taught in schools to your grandchildren and great grandchildren.
As a disclaimer, I am going to tell you that I am not a scientist. I’m not a genius by any MENSA standards. I am a programmer. I am very good at logic. I definitely love money. So I can figure some things out. But in no way am I a professional, but the way to do it can already be seen in China right now. The truth about China, despite the numbers not going up, is the fact that the numbers are skewed. I visited China back in October and they were already telling people to turn themselves in if they had developed flu-like symptoms, but since that was my first time visiting the country, I cannot affirm to you that message is always there, but we’ll just pretend that China knew nothing about the virus months in advance before they released it upon the world. However, I’d still visit China again, once COVID-19 is under complete control, anyway.
The conspiracies, half-truths, and whole-truths about the last paragraph regarding China are for another confession. To stay on topic, and to the point of how to defeat the virus: it is not running away and hiding from it. In fact, we are only delaying everything, and we handled it all wrong. Instead, we should have been educating all Americans on exactly what to do, even though it would have been very hard, and we would have risked high infections, but now that we’re all in our homes, we can certainly focus on it now.
The trick to re-introducing the population back into society and ensuring that we still prevent the spread of infection is to go back into society with hand sanitizer at our sides and facial masks, at least for a month or two until we can confirm there is no virus. This, however, certainly poses some very real dangers, as it would risk the health of anyone. Also, Americans have a huge issue with NOT touching their faces. Believe me, I am guilty too. And I am at even more severe risk than most of you: I am a nail biter. Horrible nasty habit that ranks right with cigarette smoking, though I do not think it does any real damage to the lungs, but hopefully if anything, it has exposed me to bacteria I probably should never be in contact with.
As far as the law goes, it would be mandatory to wear masks for the next few months. Americans are the ones who fear their freedom being threatened or being forced to do something they do not want to do, however, in this case, it is necessary to protect others. Constant awareness of touching our faces will make us more aware to not touch our face, while wearing masks will prevent a lot of the virus from getting easy access to our respiratory systems. Hand sanitizers would be required of every company. This is an enemy we cannot see, but an enemy that should not prevent us from functioning as a society and allowing our economy to crash.
We remain in our homes mostly safe. If you have no reason to go out, don’t go out. If you do, please ensure you use a face mask to protect others. Do not touch your face as best as you can. And the very first thing you do when you walk inside your home is wash your hands. If anyone has sneezed or coughed in the vicinity, which you can likely assume in any grocery store, then you should likely change your clothes when you return home. Or simply have “going out clothes” that you leave in the garage or wash every single time.
Once you do these things, life becomes quite easier, and while we can never let our guard down. We can still be functioning completely while we come up with a way to battle this virus and ensure immunity for ourselves. It can be frightening to watch that death count rise, but at the same time, if you have been keeping an eye on the recovery rate, more people are living than dying meaning this virus is going to kill who it will kill, but you likely have a pretty good chance of survival. If you still fear that you might die from the CCP virus, check to see how many cases are for COVID-19 at all the hospitals in your area and research how many ventiliators and other breathing apparatuses are available. The whole point in the social distancing is to not overwhelm our healthcare system. If you do manage to catch COVID-19, however, and you are in relatively good health, you have a good chance of survival.
Here are some things you can do to defeat the effects of COVID-19:
- Limit yourself to no more than 10-20 minutes of COVID-19 news per day.
- Teach yourself while in the house not to touch your face.
- Practice washing your hands once an hour and of course, every time you go to the bathroom.
- Go for a walk aroud the neighborhood, with respect to social distancing.
- Start a project you always thought about starting but could never get to while working your regular life.
- Spend more time with your children and ask them more philosophical questions as you would an adult.
- Come up with a recipe for a food item with all the ingredients you have in your house, bake it, cook it, name it, taste it.
- Work on the house you’ve neglected for years!
- Learn something new.
- Figure out how to monetize your hobby.
- Get a new hobby and monetize it.
- Research the truth about the CCP (COVID-19) virus!
- Work on your relationship with your partner! Only so much you can talk about before you talk about COVID-19 again.
- Seriously, if you can, have some sex. While we joke about what couples without kids are doing, the truth is: COVID-19 is so much on our minds that there may be some struggle to stay focused on sex.
This list is definitely not exhaustive and there is a lot you can do beyond what I have listed. We’re all humans. We’re all going through this together. We’re all suffering post-traumatic stress disorder. We’re all a little fearful and hopeful about tomorrow. Just keep going. Don’t give up. Life is not over. And don’t forget to take a look at the sky during the day and at night! With less going on around the world, you can see more!
When they start re-introducing everyone back into society and giving the okay, I urge you: please buy yourself a face mask and wear it for at least a month or two once the media starts reporting no new cases. Once this happens, then you can feel safe again, but until then, you may have to wear it longer. Please also wash your hands, change your clothes, shower, brush your teeth, and be kind to everyone you come across.
