The new year has many people thinking about planning, but for many in the wake of open enrollment, insurance is just another point of anxiety.
A new survey by Insuranks found surprising insights about married millennials, specifically, how they approach and view the financial safety net. While over 1 in 2 (53%) do not own life insurance, 48% want it.
The main reason holding many of them back? Finances and confusion surrounding the insurance process.
- 1 in 6 would face financial hardship within one MONTH of their spouse passing
- Half would face financial hardship within SIX months
- Despite this, 31% of married millennials don’t have life insurance
While 1 in 4 millennials are worried about insurance premiums, the number is only slightly lower for married millennials at 22%.
