Sports activities are played by students around the world. These sports vary with countries but the most famous ones played by millions around the world are football, soccer, cricket, lacrosse and many others. People around the world take the act of playing and even watching sports very seriously and it is a big part of the entertainment industry.
Sports take up a lot of time in a person’s life because they need a certain amount of daily dedication to get better and better. This is time students just do not have because they attend hectic classes every day in school which lasts for about 7 hours. Adding extra curricula’s to the mix seems like a disaster because these children need to spend time with their family and friends and even get some time to themselves. They also need a good 8 hours of sleep to help them be productive the next day. For some students, they focus more on the game instead of on their studies and even spend less time with families.
This might affect the bond they have with their parents and lead them to become isolated from the people who love them. There are coaches that also mentally abuse some children because of their win-all-games mentality and this leads to an increased amount of stress and anxiety on the part of the students for the sole reason that they believe it is their responsibility to win all games. They even feel pressurized to prove to their families that they are good players and will win the match.
Adding to this, is the peer pressure they face because if they win, they will be celebrated and congratulated by many but if they lose all of their friends will hate them. Some students play until they have crossed all lines of fatigue, which has a negative impact on their health especially causing heart elevations which then in turn causes heart attacks.
There are some children that face peer pressure to the extreme that they start taking steroids to improve their abilities to play the game. These steroids have extremely adverse effects on the health of children because children get addicted to these and they are essentially learning how to cheat rather than learn moral values like integrity.
