Freelancing – work for yourself, be your own boss, create your own time, do your own thing and any other thing that preaches freedom.
The dream of so many employees currently is to own their own time. This is not really the reality of a lot of people. Freelancing involves more than having the talent at whatever you are good at, it involves being able to approach clients, close deals with them, maintain them, manage your time properly and so many other things.
Freelancing opens many opportunities, one of which is to let you learn on the job. You do not have to be an expert before you start freelancing on a particular field. As far as you are interested in a particular field, and are willing to learn and grow, then you are ready to become a freelancer in that sector. Thanks to google and so many online courses that are there to educate us at whatever time we want, and as quick as possible.
Freelancing lets you manage your time: This is mostly beneficial to fathers or mothers who have more responsibilities on their hand. It gives you the opportunity to do your work and also have time for your family, and other hobbies. You are able to manage your day-to-day schedule, sleep better if you want to, and do other activities outside work.
The opportunity to earn without limits: Although the fund from freelancing is not the most stable ever, it still can be very impressive on some days. The profits one can make in a week, could be a whole lot compared to a cooperate job, where the funds are being controlled. You have the ability to choose how much you want to earn for the month, by doing more jobs, at your own pace.
You are the boss of yourself: This should be one of the highlights of freelancing. A lot of people that want to quit their job would always complain about their terrible bosses, there are so many stories to tell. As a freelancer these are the least of your problems because you control how you want to work. You can decide how much work you want to take on, when to give yourself a break, and the people you choose to work with. The headache of having to take permission for a family or personal event is no longer there, because you plan your entire schedule and can easily fix up time for events.
Meeting Different People: Freelancing gives you the opportunity to meet people from different parts of the world, without having to travel anywhere. Jobs like writing and graphic design are so flexible that the clients most people have are those outside of their vicinity.
Easy to switch or add on things: As a freelancer, you can decide to switch on your field and go into something else, or add more skills to what you are currently doing. This is not so easy in the cooperate world, because it takes a lot of process to be able to achieve this compared to doing this in freelancing.
The freedom to work wherever you want to: Most freelance writers and photographers travel the world while still taking on jobs. As a freelancer, you are not restricted to any office. You can work from whatever place you want to work, as long as it suits you.
The perks to freelancing is endless, and only needs a lot of courage and will-power to begin. One advice before quitting your job for freelancing, is to make you are able to get a few clients, balance out your finance and then quit your job. Freelancing is really the freedom everyone needs.
