The opportunity to work in a foreign country is a rich experience, the fresh start allows people the ability to indulge in a completely new culture while exploring a new country.
Before moving abroad to work, many factors must be considered. This includes factors such as minimum wage and the number of hours worked per week.
However, what many people are unaware of is that the UK and Ireland are actually some of the top countries for workers considering moving abroad for work.
This means that despite many people considering leaving the UK for countries anew, it may be for a country that doesn’t offer the same workplace perks that can be achieved in the UK.
To aid workers considering moving country with this important decision, Acuity Training has done the hard work for them, ranking the top countries to work abroad.
Factors such as holiday entitlement and the country’s unemployment rate have been considered before each country was given a score (out of 200).
Despite many in the UK and Ireland craving life abroad, both countries ranked in the top ten countries for working abroad.
Ireland gained a score of 136 and ranked fifth, below are the factors considered.

The UK gained a score of 131 and ranked ninth on the list, below are the factors considered.

Entitled Break Time (Minutes): 20 (however it is common to have between 30 minutes and one-hour breaks in the UK)
Percentage of Employees Claiming to Work Very Long Hours: 10.80%

Unemployment Rate: 3.40%

Overall, as there is still a high demand for starting fresh and working abroad, it was reassuring to learn that both the UK and Ireland are still considered very desirable places to work.
