Is Your Face The Key To More Money?

Have you considered whether attractiveness is the key to wealth? Most of us probably think, yes. It’s a common topic of discussion in business, that those who are more good-looking earn more, get hired more quickly, get the sought-after promotion, and rise above the ranks.

Attractiveness can be measured by the symmetry of your facial features or physical appearance. But, to what extent is beauty tied to wealth and how much do good looks help or hinder your earning potential?

Fundera explored the idea by testing the facial shots of more than 1,000 well-known billionaires using Face++ detection software. They determined the male and female “beauty scores,” compared the billionaire’s scores to the population, and lastly, averaged them. Each billionaire received a score that ranked them on the “attractiveness percentile” to put things in perspective and measure whether their good looks (or lack thereof) played a role in their wealth.
