China Visits Confessions of the Professions
When I first began this website, my visitors were just my mom and my girlfriend. It was awesome. My two fans and avid readers! Then it started to grow and grow, and at its peak, was attracting somewhere around 100,000 visitors per month. It is currently around 40,000 visitors per month on any average month. This website is used by marketing agencies, freelancers, authors, and companies from all around the world to get their message out.
We provide a unique platform that is genuine and actually cares about your article, which makes us different from other websites, such as Medium.com or even Quora, where you do not continue to own your content and whatever happens to it doesn’t really matter. We rely solely on generous contributions of articles and finances to keep this website going, so we appreciate all of your support and everything you do for this website.
Unemployment rates may affect our statistics or trends happening in the world. Currently, we are waiving all “regular” queue for COVID-19 articles. COVID-19 articles will be put into a subqueue and we have increased our articles slots to two per day with the third dedicated to our ONET Insights segment. As a result of COVID-19, there are new readers just discovering us because of COVID-19 and avid fans who have been with us for years. Confessions of the Professions does track some data about you. Not too much about who you are, but it does track where you came from and where you went on the website. We use this data to understand which articles are popular and where the trends in information about the workplace are.
Some of the major data tracking sources are Cloudflare, Google Analytics, Heap Analytics, and WP Bubble, which all reveal similar and different information about visitors, page visits, and other things that help us understand how people are reading and using the website. Our trends tend to occur from all over the world and while the majority of our readers are from the United States, other parts of the world do arise, including a new one we’ve never seen before: China. While we had some readers from there, it was often never more than a few dozen.
For this month, however, we had nearly 1,000 readers from China. If you are from China, speak English, and can do so, please contact us and let us know what’s going on in China! Let us know what we should do while in quarantine or once we get back out or any advice for getting out of quarantine. Simply share a day in the life of what it is like to be in China during the COVID-19 pandemic.

We have published multiple articles the past few weeks on COVID-19, also dubbed the CCP virus, which has literally disrupted the lives of the entire world. Even those areas that were not as heavily affected. The way of life has changed in its own way, although countries that mostly relied on their own internal infrastructure are the least likely to have been impacted by the virus and the most likely to have a faster recovery.
China seems to have taken a keen interest in this website. We’re not exactly sure why though we have nothing against China at all. I personally do not know anyone in China or the Chinese government. However, I do hope to visit China someday for a leisure vacation. There were more visits to Confessions of the Professions from China than the United States in the history of our existence, and during the time period of March to April 2020.
COVID-19 articles have increased our traffic from all over. The total access, including bots and visitors in March was 6,400,116. We are not, in any way, seeking to capitalize on anything corona virus, COVID-19, or CCP virus related. Hence, we are not charging at all for the entering into the subqueue of COVID-19 articles. We do feel it is very important to get information out as quickly as possible and the more honest the story or data is, the likelihood that it will be indexed amongst COVID-19 keywords.
We are working to get your COVID-19 articles out asap. If you have any that you would like to contribute. Let us know what you are doing in your everyday life, if you have a job, what you are doing for money, if anything, if you are unemployed, or even if you own a business. Please let us know what is happening. We are trying to stay as active as we can and trying to pump out our regular articles plus COVID-19 articles as well as our ONET Insights.
Stay safe during the quarantine and please don’t leave the house without a facial mask for your respiratory system that you can use to protect yourself.
And welcome China and thank you China for visiting!
