What is the best way to make people aware about your brand? The name of the brand, products or services offered, brand logo and a catchy tag line, etc. According to a study, logos are the best way to demonstrate your strength and logic behind the products/service offered. For example, in the logo of Ecommerce giant Amazon, there is an arrow pointing from its first letter ‘a to z’. The logic behind that logo can be interpreted as, Amazon is place where consumers can find everything they are looking for.
Earlier when logos were used as a formality by businesses, there was a time when people used to recognize a product with its packing. This might be the reason behind the birth of duplicity of products and still this is the biggest issue every brand is facing. To stop duplicity people start giving attention to logos and during early 90’s many companies started evolving their logos including renowned brands. Also it is worth adding that duplicity is not the only reason behind the logo evolution as there are some other reasons behind this as well like unhandy logo was not easy to remember for long.
Further from marketing point of view, replacement of company logo is big news for any company and attracts people a lot. Recently Pepsi Co.’s new logo created huge buzz around the world, this is also an important reason behind the logo evolution. A good name can lead your business and achieve fame in short spell, whereas your logo will work as fuel. Your business logo must be easy to remember and unique, trendy but handy, it must be blended with an essence to stay in existence for long. If it’s not than you must change your logo there is no harm in this, below are some well known brands that changed their logos multiple times.

Logos and branding are so important. In a big part of the world, people cannot read French or English–but are great in remembering signs. – Karl Lagerfeld
It’s a habit of mine now, noticing labels, logos, and shoes – Michael Jordan
It is only by association with a product, a service, a business, or a corporation that a logo takes on any real meaning. It derives its meaning and usefulness from the quality of that which it symbolizes. – Paul Rand
There are three responses to a piece of design – yes, no, and WOW! Wow is the one to aim for. – Milton Glaser
Design should never say, “Look at me.” It should always say, “Look at this.” – David Craib
