Americans spend billions of dollars on video games each year – and it turns out they’re not always looking for a hero story.
A new nationwide survey asked gamers to rank video game villains on how evil they are:
- The Joker from Batman: Arkham was ranked most evil video game villain
- Pyramid Head (Silent Hill) and Albert Wesker (Resident Evil) are #2 and #3
- Team Rocket (Pokemon) was rated least evil of them all
2 in 5 gamers noted they prefer villains to heroes; for 3 in 4, personality is by far the most important characteristic in a villain. Gamers must be careful, though: 1 in 6 have had a nightmare about a villain.
