What Does It Take to Become a Successful Entrepreneur?
Becoming a successful entrepreneur can be a lot more difficult than you think. You need to have a great idea, believe in yourself and have a tight business plan. You also have to be in it for the long run, a success story doesn’t happen over night.
But that isn’t all, in fact SilverDoor apartments have outlined 112 attributes and assets in this Periodic Table of Entrepreneurship, that they believe will help you make a go of it.
They have split the characteristics into ten colour coded categories such as intellectual property, support network and interpersonal skills.
The most important element is motivation. You have to love what you’re doing, have a strong passion and be able to motivate yourself to carry on and not give up, even when everything seems to be going wrong.
The largest category is personal characteristics and includes traits such as leadership, confidence and ambition.
While most of the attributes aren’t surprising, some may think having a hobby and making sure you have time for holidays, won’t make the list.
But even the world’s top business people have to switch off now and then, you don’t want to work yourself into the ground.
Don’t worry if you can’t check all 112 off now. The journey to become a successful entrepreneur is long and you will no doubt have many learning curves along the way! As long as you portray a good amount of them, then you’re probably in a good position to start your journey.
