Competition in the technology industry is rife, with each business wanting to future proof their place by splashing out and acquiring companies that will boost their profile and increase their market share.
But over the last 10 years, which tech giant has been acquiring the most?

Here are some highlighted key points from the infographic:
Google has acquired the most companies by more than double other companies analysed over the last decade – Google has a staggering total of 182 acquisitions, which is over double that of Microsoft and Apple, and over triple the number acquired by Amazon. Google have acquired more than Microsoft and IBM combined in the last 10 years
In 2018, Microsoft acquired the most companies at 16 – Google and Oracle came in second that year, both acquiring 9 companies each
On average, Apple acquired just over 8 businesses each year over the last decade – Amazon falls below 5 businesses each year
HP Inc has required just 19 companies across the decade – following closely after is Xerox with 23 and Adobe Systems with 26
(
