Poison: The Most Delicious Food You Will Ever Taste
I am not a doctor nor a medical expert, but I write this article from my own experiences. By continuing to read this article, you take this advice at your own risk and do not hold me accountable for any advice you choose to follow. If I were to ask any parents if they were poisoning their children with food, they would tell me: Absolutely not. I would be completely ridiculous to think that any parent would poison their child or their children. If I told them that the truth was they were, in fact, poisoning their child, I am pretty sure many parents would get offended and angry with me because of my accusations. Unfortunately, I see it all the time, every day, starting from infancy and going all the way up until the child becomes an adult, and the child is no longer the parents’ responsibility.
If you have no idea what I am talking about, that is okay, you are part of the millions of parents that continue to poison your children everyday and cut their lifespans shorter and shorter, promising them a life full of disease and health problems.
I don’t want to say you are a bad parent because you have taken on the responsibility to raise a child or children and feed them. They love you and look to you for all their needs, so you must be a good parent. Technically, the longer you feed your children poorly with non-nutritious food, you are killing your children slowly, probably the same way you are killing yourself, and you either have no idea, or you just do not care. The excuse that your child is growing or is big boned is probably not the greatest, but one that most parents use, including my own.
Have I made you mad? Good.
From the morning until night, you poison your children, just as you poison yourself. If you are not poisoning your children, you put your full faith and trust in the school system to do it for you.
Lets just start with a few questions:
- What do you have for breakfast every morning?
- What cereals do you feed your family?
- Do you use milk and add sugar?
- Does the entire family drink soda?
- Does the entire family drink water?
- Do you keep fruit juices in the refrigerator?
- Do you have fast food at least once or twice a week with your family?
- How often do you cook at home?
- How often do you cook a healthy meal at home?
- How many meals a day do you and your family eat?
- What does your child eat for lunch everyday at school?
- What types of snacks do you keep in the house and eat as a family?
- What types of snacks do you send off with your child to school everyday?
- How many calories does your child or children typically consume in one day?
These questions are not unreasonable and you can rhetorically answer them.
I am not picking on or picking out Fruit Loops to single that cereal out. It is all cereals and just about everything produced by Kellogg’s.
Cereal comes loaded with sugar. Milk has become loaded with sugar and hormones as well. Then the cereal must not be sweet enough, so more sugar gets added on to it. What about the glass of orange juice, apple juice, or grape juice that goes with the cereal? That is loaded with sugar too. Did you to feeding your kids a quick toasted Poptart? You will find plenty of sugar and artificial ingredients in those too. Before your children have even left the house, you have loaded them up with sugar.
What happens after that? You probably tell them to calm down. They are extremely hyper and you cannot wait to drop them off and just go to work. They then go to school, where they eat whatever sugary snack you have sent off with them or that the school provides. They are hyper at school and unable to focus and pay attention. Lunch time provides them with more sugar by giving them milk or chocolate milk choices (both loaded with plenty of sugar), pizza or chicken nuggets, and a vegetable on the side that they end up throwing away because “vegetables are nasty.”
The fruit that they provide? That apple or orange? If that does not get thrown away, that is consumed too. By the way, hopefully that apple is organic and not GMO, because there is no nutrition in a GMO apple, and you can certainly taste a real apple vs. a non-organic GMO apple. While the orange provided is a great piece of fruit, that is also packed with 9 grams of sugar.
What happens when your child is so hyper in school? The school informs you that your child is unable to focus and they diagnose him or her with ADHD (Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder) and prescribe a pill to the child in order to calm the child down and “make them focus.”
They are then drugged up and unable to “act” and “be” a child. If they are, they are probably not outside much, coming home, playing video games, sitting in front of the television, and doing nothing else. Somehow, society has completely accepted the fact that the government, the school system, and the health care system, specifically their doctor is perfectly okay with allowing drugs to be prescribed and prescribing drugs to children, drugs which may take care of the problem by keeping a child sedated, but ultimately a problem that is never actually solved because the solution was to just give the child drugs.
I am sure that after a tired day at work, both parents do not feel like cooking, so they pick up fast food, which is basically just corn. Most of it is just made with corn. You cannot see it resembling anything that looks like corn, but it certainly is. The very same stuff farmers and industries use to fatten up livestock so we can eat it. French fries served at fast food restaurants are not potatoes. The ketchup that is put on them? Loaded with sugar. Fast food is loaded with sodium and all kinds of unnatural ingredients that no one should be consuming.
Does this tire you and your family down? For a while. You all seem satisfied because you just “ate dinner”, and then something happens a few hours later: Everyone is hungry again because they did not obtain the proper nutrition their bodies needed. So why not grab a snack, maybe some potato chips or Doritos out of the pantry that are also loaded with salt?
I am sure no one in the family is very active, going out for walks, running marathons, or doing much except homework, playing video games, watching television, playing on their computers, or on the Internet.
Mad at me yet? Are you an active family? Great. Everyone should be of a healthy weight and no one is overweight by even just a pound, and no one in the family is obese. Everyone in the family must have great genes, though in reality, if the consumption of sugar and salt is high and fast food is a common occurrence in the family, I know that no one in that family is healthy.
Although I did go outside when I was younger, I grew up a “couch potato” (given the name by my mother) where television commercials (since the 1970s and continuing to this day) were rampant with all types of sugary cereals, snacks, quick lunches. Anything that made a parent’s life easier and looked fun to children and was food was everything we all wanted. Our parents would run out and buy those things because they were “cheap” and easy to make. No longer did parents have to spend an hour or so making lunches for their children for the week.
Run out and buy whatever without ever trusting the companies who gladly poisoned us without a care in the world. What was wrong with this food? It tasted great, though it never seemed to satisfy my hunger. I remember finishing a lunch at school and looking in the bag for more food, as if my mother did not give me enough! What I would come to understand later: It was not that I did not eat enough, rather, it was the additives in the food that made me hungry and want more.
Why are you and your children being poisoned each day of your life? Why is it not killing you? It actually is. Go ahead, run a mile, and I bet you cannot even do it. I bet your kids can’t even do it. Is that normal? Well, I won’t say that I am a natural runner, either, and I must build up, but I can run a few blocks without feeling winded or like I am going to collapse over afterwards. Go to your doctor and get blood work done and see what your cholesterol, triglycerides, and blood sugar levels are.
The companies that make the foods, Kellogg’s, General Mills, Kraft, and every single company that makes processed food make billions of dollars a year, and they also give the government and Congress their cut too. If you haven’t learned by now how the entire United States system works: whoever has the money runs the country.
The government, the USDA, the Food and Drug Administration have no idea, after 60 years of how to handle the public’s health, even though they are the very ones who allowed and even paid for processed food to happen. Millions went into the research of how to feed (poison) people without killing them too soon.
Who is to blame? Greedy corporations are a part of the blame and so is the government, but you parents are to blame as well. These corporations exist because you gladly fund them by buying their products. If suddenly one day, everyone just stopped buying the unhealthy food-like products these companies have been making for years now, they would have no consumers and have no reason to continue making the products. Since both poor and rich, regardless of economic status, continue to buy them, they will continue to make the food-like products you keep buying, and experiment with new types of food-like products as well to see what you will and will not buy.
There are many people who will argue with me, but judging by our nation, I am not wrong. 3 out of 4 adults and 1 out 3 children are fat, obese, or at risk of both. It is really sad to know that we are eating ourselves to death and no one is doing a thing about it. Parents continue to remain ignorant and don’t seem to mind that they are exposing their children to diseases and other diseases that are easily preventable. It is like your children were never even given a chance.
If you are uneducated about food, here is how it works: We were told to eat low-fat foods by the “mainstream” organizations. Those low-fat foods were made to still taste great to your taste buds, but the majority are high in sugar or contain other unrecognizable or unreadable ingredients that should not be going into the body, or otherwise, are known to cause cancer. Sugar turns into fat therefore low-fat is not actually low-fat.
Simple carbohydrates in the form of candy, cereal, bread, and every kind of wheat product, and fast-food places are all foods that are loaded with sugar or salt and take their toll on the body, causing everyone to have this temporary feeling or energy, followed by a feeling of tiredness, exhaustion, and unambition.
Try this experiment for one week up to a month if possible, mainly with your children in mind:
BREAKFAST: Cook your family only natural meals made by your hands, including breakfast in the form of eggs, bacon, sausage, and even a pancake or two.
LUNCH: Peanut butter and jelly sandwich, tuna fish sandwich, or even pre-baked chicken breast with any type of fruit or vegetable.
DINNER: Start with a salad of your choice as an appetizer. Chicken breast, turkey, steak, or fish. Spaghetti squash is another favorite to try which can be a replacement for actual spaghetti. No bread. No wheat.
Cut out all fruit-flavored drinks and soda. If you want to continue with the milk, switch to no more than 2% milk, or try an alternative such as any of the Silk Almond Milk products. Your children are not to eat anything the school provides and you are not allowed to eat at any fast food restaurant. Limit your bread consumption too, typically to just lunch, and toast is fine in the morning.
If you are to do any kind of bread, it is slightly more expensive, but worth it: 12 Multi-grain Oat Bread. You are looking to cut out wheat. Yes, I did read Wheat Belly and while I definitely do agree with most of what he says, and have lived it myself, losing over 60 pounds by cutting out bread and keeping carbohydrates low, there is still plenty of food that can be enjoyed.
The fun of food in this new lifestyle is finding good foods to eat that are not high in carbohydrates, and there are plenty of them, waiting to be discovered, waiting to be eaten, and waiting to help you and your family become a healthy family again. Don’t just make it your problem. Make it your entire family’s problems and a problem everyone should be working on fixing.
By giving up simple carbohydrates and eating more good fats and protein, the entire family will not be as hungry all the time, save more money, and rather than reaching for the potato chips or sugary snacks, fruits or even vegetables can be made the snack of choice, ultimately leading to a much healthier family. You will feel better overall and instead of seeing unhealthy overweight or obese children, you will be seeing what you have always dreamed and wanted: active, healthy, and children of normal weight.
If the experiment works correctly, then your child or children will have a different type of energy, not fully provided by sugar, except from the milk, which should wear out throughout the day, and will not need to take pills or be classified as having ADHD. You, as a family, will all have energy too and feel healthier. The entire family will experience weight loss without doing much.
Instead of eating poison and feeding your children poison, you will increase your own lifespan, their lifespan, reduce many medical and hospital, increase the entire family’s immunity system, so everyone should not get sick as much during cold and flu season, and you will all have a new-found appreciation for food.
I wish you the best of luck on your health journey. It is far easier to change your own lifestyle than it is to change your entire family lifestyle, but if you do, you will reap the benefits of a healthier, happier, and more active family.
