We’ve all done it — seen a work email and thought, “I’ll reply in a second.” But seconds pass, and all of a sudden, it’s been sitting unread for hours.
A new study finds that over half of Americans admit to letting messages pile up and reveals where Americans are the most guilty.
Key findings:
- While work emails are important, these are the states with the most unread emails: 1. Alabama, 2. Massachusetts, 3. Maryland.
28% of America’s unread texts are from colleagues.
States best at opening emails: 1. Washington, 2. New York, 3. Virginia.
65% have lied and said they “forgot to respond” to a text, but just didn’t feel like responding.
- Notification bubbles on apps makes 48% feel overwhelmed.
