This will act against the ultimate quest for being an authority. Research is serious business, and one that is closely watched by experts in that area. The veracity of the information in a paper is of the highest importance.

A lot of factors such as authenticity, research level, findings, and relevance are considered when a paper is submitted to a journal. Individuals wanting to get recognized by a committee in their field can read all the guidelines before submitting. There’s no point in submitting a paper if it does not satisfy the basic requirements.

In conclusion, it is best to consider academic position and personal novelty as two different things that affect research paper writing only when they are together.
