Why Glasgow Is The best European City For New Graduates
When deciding which European city you want to start your career after graduation, would Glasgow be top of your list? The chances are that it might have been somewhere a bit more famously glamorous, but the facts don’t lie and they say that the Scottish city really is the best all-round option for new graduates, coming just ahead of Prague and Munich in the rankings, while cities like London, Barcelona and Paris finished much further down.
Glasgow’s impressive facilities for sports, leisure and culture certainly helped, but it also scored highly in critical categories like rent prices and the state of its local economy, which is key for a graduate looking for a job to kickstart their career. And, because you want to be able to make friends, it is also one of the cities with the highest number of other graduates already living there, which has to be a good sign.
The rankings are a great way to analyse some of the top cities around Europe and see how they compare for each of the most important categories for graduates and see why you’d be better off living in Budapest than Berlin or Manchester rather than Madrid. Which city looks like the best bet for you based on what you’ve found out here?
