So what do you want to be when you grow up? This is a common question asked when you are a kid. Often still asked after you’re all grown up. Every kid has a dream. Almost every kid wants to be something when they grow up. As they grow older, their dreams and goals are constantly changing.

Children are likely to choose the occupations of their parents as that is a major influence on them. Kids may, at first, choose common occupations such as teachers, police officers, veterinarians, doctors, firefighters, actors, models, and athletes. These occupations are well known to them and are occupations that have the most exposure to young children.

There are plenty of jobs that exist and will always exist throughout the child’s entire lifetime. However, there are also plenty of jobs that will not exist when a child grows into adulthood. There are also many more jobs that have never even been heard of. Social Media and SEO Consultants were never a thought in anyone’s mind before the Internet. Before the 1950s, computer jobs were not very common, if they existed at all.

New job and career opportunities are being created every day, while there are also many disappearing because of new technology rendering them obsolete. Your children will take jobs that you never heard of or even dreamed of. You have probably acquired a job that your parents never knew existed.

If you want to secure a career or a job for yourself, think in advance about what humanity might need in the future, and then establish yourself in that area. Think outside the box. Think about the next best thing. If you are not that type of thinker, don’t worry. Not everyone is. Just be ambitious and motivated to be somebody. Have the desire to change the world and you will find your place and passion to discover your great purpose in this life.
