You Were Always The One And You Never Knew
You would not know it, but you were my reason for living and my reason for dying.
You were my everything and my nothing at all.
You would not know it but I was your biggest fan.
You would not know it but I was always there.
You would not know it because I never told you.
You would not know it because I never got the chance to tell you.
You would not know it because I always saw you.
You would not know it because you never reached out to let me know that even if I didn’t see you, you’d still see me and let me know that you are right there with me.
You would not know it because I got thrown into a world that always put you just out of my reach.
You would not know it, but I sacrificed a lifetime without you.
You would not know it but I loved you more than life itself.
And when I reached my hand out for you, you were busy, pre-occupied, focused on your studies and work, and I was struggling to get your attention.
I wanted to give you the world, but time was different for both of us.
We had time for everything else but none for each other.
By the time you realized it too, and extended your hand out, I was too pre-occupied with keeping my job and my own life, too busy to notice you or have the time I wanted for you.
And you walked away… forever out of my life and my heart.
My heart still yearns for you… always will.
I tried to move on… and because of that… my heart broke twice.
