My Life in the Covid-19 Quarantine Lockdown, and after
I live in Shenyang, a gorgeous small city in Northeast China. Because I am a sophomore, so I didn’t lose my job during the COVID-19. Next, I will talk about my life during the new coronavirus.
We all know that the outbreak of the new coronavirus is just a few days before the traditional Chinese Spring Festival, when the population flow was the largest in China. Fortunately, Wuhan City adopted the strategy of closing the city in time to deal with this problem, while Shenyang City is far away from Wuhan City, so there are not many confirmed cases in our area. But we are very strict with the requirements of the state, that is to wear masks when going out, wash hands frequently at ordinary times, and do not go to crowded places. Fortunately, we all cooperate very well, so China quickly controlled the spread of the virus, and gradually our life has returned to normal. Because the return of college students will lead to a large flow of population, we did not return to school this semester. All courses, assignments and examinations are completed online. The virus infection in the central part of China is not very serious. After the cases are cleared, college students in those areas will start school. Because northeast China is a border area, and some foreign cases will be transmitted back to China, the universities here are not to open school, in order to prevent the second outbreak of the virus.
From the beginning of the virus outbreak until now, we have to wear masks when we go out of the house, because this problem cannot be underestimated. Now all my courses and exams are online this semester, which is a challenge for me. Actually, I would like to go to the classroom to have classes, because I can better interact with my teachers. Some public examinations in China have also been postponed to the second half of the year or cancelled. I am also preparing for a public examination this semester, which has been postponed to the next semester due to the epidemic. However, there are tasks for the next semester, so the postponement of this exam is good and bad for me. And because of the reason that the final exam should be taken at home, the way of examination is stricter than before, and the difficulty of the topic will be improved relatively. Some subjects are really stressful for me to learn. I’m also afraid that my final exam result is not good, so I’ve been studying hard recently.
Last month, I went to test my driving license. During the driving practice, we also had to carry out strict isolation. At that time, it was very hot and it was really uncomfortable to wear masks all day. I spend most of my time at home, so I don’t need to experience the hard work of wearing masks every day. Some service industry workers do wear masks every day. I can’t imagine how hard they will work. Now summer is coming, the weather will only get hotter and hotter, so it will be very inconvenient for us to hang out if we wear masks every day. Now I just hope that the epidemic will end soon, so that I can go back to school and finish all kinds of public examinations as soon as possible.
