There once was a time where, in order to get a job, you could just walk around your neighborhood, look at the open businesses, head in, fill out an application, and a few days later, you might have or might have not received a call back asking you to come in for an interview with the potential opportunity for a job offer.
You could also look in many newspapers classifieds section which would normally list companies looking to hire new employees. Nowadays, however, the Internet is where the majority of people are finding their jobs and careers, specifically on Craigslist.
Craigslist is an amazing website that serves just about everyone’s purpose. Craigslist is a place where people can find jobs, companies can list jobs, businesses can list products they are selling, individuals can sell their items – all for free. Craigslist serves the entire world. Craigslist is more popular in some areas than others, but many people use Craigslist for a lot of their needs. One of the best things you can do on Craigslist is find and apply for jobs.

There is opportunity everywhere on Craigslist. Depending on your skill set and talents, you may be able to apply for every job listed in every category on Craigslist. There is no limit to the amount of posts you can read or reply to. Craigslist is designed for all communities and does make the world a better place.
Unfortunately, there are reports of bad things happening on and because of Craigslist, such as crimes and murders to scams and identity theft, but for the most part, Craigslist is relatively safe for those who are cautious about what they do. For example, if a person meets another person on Craigslist to sell or exchange an item, it is highly recommended to proceed with caution and only show up in a public place, or at least have one other person, such as a friend or family member present.
If you have your resume up to date and LinkedIn profile set up, you are ready to go. Determine which categories are for you, meaning those categories that contain potential jobs you can apply to. When writing your email, make sure that you write a personal email to each company you apply with. You can get away with copying and pasting the majority of your introduction paragraph, but ensure that you change whatever headlines or titles you need.
The practice of applying to multiple jobs means that, while you may deal with more rejection, the chances of getting a positive response are much greater, and if you apply to 100 jobs, and 20 companies reply, you have your choice of 20 jobs to choose from. If you only apply to one or two jobs, you are more likely to be disappointed if you do not get either of them.
Craigslist is a great place to find a job and list jobs in order to find new employees, and while it was once considered that you get what you pay for, or that Craigslist was not the greatest place to find jobs, the information is wrong. Craigslist has some of the best jobs listed and many employers will find that they may just get some of their best employees off of Craigslist.
