You have heard of the horror movies where stalkers or other threatening individuals bug a person’s house or apartment for nefarious purposes. Usually, the person does not know that they are being bugged and finds out when it is too late to do anything. You may not think that a situation like this can occur in real life; however, nothing can be further from the truth. There are numerous documentaries where property owners, stalkers, and others have bugged people’s homes to gain information and spy on them during their most vulnerable moments. If you suspect you are being bugged and want to check to see if you are, you must look out for the following signs.
Keep an Eye Out for Strange Vehicles with Dark, Tinted Windows Near Your Home
Some bugging equipment requires miniature transmission stations for spying to be effective. Bugging equipment that has been installed in houses will transmit the data to the transmission station, and the one doing the spying can listen to the audio or view video. Often, transmission stations are set up in vehicles that have dark, tinted windows which will keep the identity of those who are spying anonymous. Sometimes, those doing the spying can disguise their transmission stations as pizza delivery, mail services, or other commercial vehicles to appear benign. The difference between actual pizza delivery, mail services, and other commercial vehicles is that they will be around long enough to get the job done and will not linger for extended periods of time.
Listen for Strange Noises and Buzzing Sounds
Often, strange noises and buzzing sounds are present when bugs are in place. If you still use a landline, you will hear noises, beeps and buzzing sounds that are out of place during phone conversations if your phone line is bugged. You may also hear buzzing sounds around the house you do not recognize. To check for bugs, turn off all your electronics including your refrigerator. When your electronics are turned off and your house is silent, listen carefully for any buzzing sounds. If you hear any, locate them to see if bugs are in place. Once you find the bugs, you can remove them.
Check to See If Things Are Out of Place
When bugs are installed, sometimes things are slightly out of place. The carpet may not be as flat as you have remembered, and picture frames may be somewhat off-kilter. Furniture may be moved a tad, and lamps may not sit completely flush with the table or floor. Flower arrangements may be tampered with, as audio devices and tiny cameras are sometimes hidden in flowerpots. If you notice anything out of place, consider taking a closer look.
Check Outlets and Light Switches for Anything Unusual
Outlets and light switches are among the most frequent places where bugs are installed. Take a close look at your outlets and light switches by completely removing the covers and seeing if there is anything unusual.
Check for Bugs Using X-Ray Analysis
Most people who know how to bug a house or vehicle are professionals, and they are great at making sure their equipment is undetected. X ray analysis is outstanding for detecting and removing bugs because the analysis equipment can be used to scan walls, car seats, car interiors, car exteriors, furniture, and electronic devices for bugs. Believe it or not, bugs can be hidden inside of cell phones, radios, pens, computers, lamps, and all sorts of objects. If you want this type of analysis done on your car and home, contact professionals who specialize in bug removal, and they can bring equipment on-site to perform the needed scans to detect and remove bugs.
Use Bug Scanners
Bug scanners are also useful for detecting and removing bugs. Bug scanners will pick up where electronic bugs are installed so they can be removed. All you need to do is run the bug scanner over walls, objects, furniture, car seats, car interiors, and car exteriors, and you will be alerted when electronic bugs are present.
Conclusion
Being bugged may seem scary. You may feel like you are powerless; however, you can ensure your safety with the right tools and technology. You can beat those who are infringing on your privacy at their own game and get back control of your life.
