With fewer people in the UK eating out these days, largely due to the increased cost of living, it is more important than ever for local restaurants to have public support and good online reviews if they hope to continue attracting customers.
In a new report by the online reputation experts at Dino Social, they found that 7.4% of local northern restaurants have seen their user rating on review platform TripAdvisor worsen since 2021, with 12.2% sadly being forced to close.
The research collates ‘star ratings’ from 3,237 restaurants in 13 locations across the north of England and Scotland between April 2021 and April 2023, in order to determine how user ratings have impacted businesses in recent years.
