Reality Television: For Drama Seekers
There are so many reality TV shows out there. There is so many things to watch. You can focus on everyone else’s drama, in order to get away from your own for a while. One show that had really appealed to me, that I have gotten into, and never thought I would ever watch such a show, it is really amusing and scary. The show is called The Bachelor.
The show is all about drama and views. It seems like it is all pre-written out and planned, very planned. It’s addicting to watch. You have One guy or One girl in the reach of about twenty five men and twenty five women. They all want to fall in love, but they have to make it work. I guess this is what people to do in order to gain a little fame and a lot of free stuff. Here are some of my thoughts and analysis from these two shows.
These twenty five men and women are given roses, in order to know that they are something special, as flowers represent beautiful and almost a “I see you” in Avatar (I see your soul, I want to know your soul more). The Bachelor and the Bachelorette have to remember all their names. They then go on dates, group dates, and talk to each other every so often.
These men and women have to put themselves out their and impress the Bachelor and the Bachorlette, by making themselves so vulnerable. But then the Bachelor and the Bachelorette are ALSO extremely vulnerable! Everyone has heightened anxiety and fears for their life and their reputation.
If they bring someone home and that person either dumps them or they find out that they have nothing in common, then they will most definitely be hurt. Both sides are at risk, but at the cost of fame and a chance to be in love at the same time.
They get to travel to many places including their destinations of choice. It is insane to think how much money is actually going into all this. Mansions and vacation dream spots that probably have tons of security making sure that nothing happens to these people, as this show needs to be as safe as possible. Even the girls are probably evaluated and their bags are checked for weapons and anything considerably dangerous.
Imagine something like “Terrorist TV” where people actually die because of the drama on the show and what our emotions can do to us if they get to the best of us. And what they might do for love, even if it means to kill. As far as making it one of the best shows to watch and attracting so many viewers, they get these experts to come in and help out or celebrities to come and play and it is all very much like a dream.
How much are they charging? Expensive, but not unaffordable. Amazing what advertising can do. There are a lot of commercials because they got to pay the bills, but the millions of viewers attract millions of dollars.
They get hundreds of applications claiming to be that they were looking for love and why they would make a perfect match for the Bachelor. The experts behind the show (EBS) evaluated interviews and videos from thousands of girls, and narrowed it down to just a few who were eligible. They then have their own drama while trying to look good and maintain not killing the other girls, so that they could have a chance and know that they are there for Bachelor.
Making it on to one of these shows is a dream come true. Finding love is a dream come true. But it can also be one big nightmare.
