Islam is a revelation of human nature, according to which all human beings are equal in the matter of fundamental rights. Every child is born on the nature of Islam, and all human beings are children of Adam. Instead, they are both creatures in the sight of Allah. So Allah says in the Holy Qur’an: “O people! Be careful of (your duty to) you’re Lord, Who created you from a single being and created its mate and the like. Spread to all men and women (women 1-4)”
There are many verses in the Quran about the importance and status of women. Whether a woman is a mother or a sister, a wife or a daughter, Islam has explained in detail the rights and duties of each of them. Thanking the mother, treating her kindly and serving her is one of the fundamental rights of a woman. Parents have a greater right to be kind than fathers because mothers face more difficulties in this regard. And because of all these difficulties, Islam has declared that mothers deserve more gentle treatment, which is a great blessing of Islam on women. These rights are mentioned in the Quran. This is what Islam gave women but also commanded them to pay with encouragement.
Women are equally human.
“O humankind! We have created you from a single male and female and made you peoples and tribes that you may know one another. Indeed, the noblest of you in the sight of Allah is the most righteous of you. Indeed, Allah is Knowing and Acquainted.”
([Qur’an 49: 13)
Women’s lives are equally inviolable.
“And when the infant girl [who was] buried alive is asked, for what sin she was killed.”
(Qur’an 81: 8-9)
Women are a sign of God’s Mercy.
“And of His signs is that He created for you from yourselves mates that you may find tranquility in them; and He placed between you affection and mercy. Indeed, in that are signs for a people who give thought.”
(Qur’an 30: 21)
Women are equally able to promote good.
“The believing men and believing women are allies of one another. They enjoin what is right and forbid what is wrong and establish prayer and give zakah.and obey Allah and His Messenger. Those Allah will have mercy upon them. Indeed, Allah is exalted in Might and Wise.”
(Qur’an 9: 71)
Women are equally eligible for a reward.
“Whoever does righteousness, whether male or female, while a believer—We will surely cause him to live a good life, and We will surely give them their reward [in the Hereafter] according to the best of what they used to do.”
(Qur’an 16: 97)
