Is Success Really That Hard To Achieve?
Success, more than anything, is something I like to talk about and think about. More than sex, more than money, and more than happiness. Success has many definitions and we are the ones who usually define our own success. We usually get this definition by our situation, environment, and influences. In other words, usually our parents and our environment and our education provide the definition of what success will mean to us. We might even learn about success from the television or our peers.
Most people achieve some type of success in their lives to obtain what they want and be where they want to be in life. The very goals of success can be achieved in a number of ways and there is no specific path that can help anyone to achieve it. In most cases, however, education is recommended or even required to help achieve the goals of success. For example, without education, one would face a much harder time becoming a doctor or a lawyer, whereas the more education they have, the more likely it is they will achieve their goals. There are others, however, who have managed to forego the additional education and still found their own successes in life.
Success is not really that hard, but it does require you to work for it, to learn things to achieve it, to experience lessons that might help you achieve it. Some people give up before they might achieve it. Others might have success by sheer luck. But more so than not, many people work hard to obtain their own success. Success on its own is hardly ever handed to anyone in life. What may be successful to one is not what is successful to another.
Success may seem hard when we take into account that it may take years to achieve it, but the fruits of one’s efforts may pay off handsomely. While there are plenty of people who take advantage of others to achieve their own success, there are plenty more people who do, in fact, take the right steps and progress through the right measures to obtain success. Success is more of a privilege than a right and is not guaranteed to anyone. Fortunately, the majority of people do have the means to obtain some type of success in their lives.
Success is only hard when you think too much about obtaining it. Rather than thinking about the end goal, success should be accomplished in small doses or steps. As you know, all humans learn to crawl before they can learn to walk. There is no skipping straight to the success of the walking. Every step must be learned and there will be falls and failures that come with it. The important point of achieving success is to know that it can be achieved, or to at least believe it can be, and to never give up trying.
Most successes are never immediate and often come with many failures. In some cases, just as success is about to be achieved, people give up, never realizing that it was just a few steps away. Human failure is imminent and part of the process of success. With its lessons, it is the only way for success to be truly appreciated and understood. Society was not really designed to see people fail, and often encourages people to succeed, often encouraging people to further their education and go after their goals.
Success is only hard when you do not apply yourself, do not attempt to make an effort in achieving it, or believe that you are owed it by the world or your parents or whoever. The only barrier truly keeping you from success is yourself and your thoughts. The only reason why success would be hard is because you received inaccurate information or you went the wrong way about achieving it. The other reason success seems hard is because while we could read many books about how one individual achieved their success, it does not mean we can follow that same exact path to achieve that very same success. In fact, it is almost impossible unless you were with that person at that same time and agreed to split your success, so our very specific way of achieving success may have to be obtained by different measures.
Write your own story and understand the reasons for why you or others are not successful. Understand that you may have to choose a different path or take different measures to obtain your goals for success. There is no one way to your success, but often times, your success is unique to you. Keep going, keep learning, and keep trying to achieve your success. Success is certainly going to change as you get older and priorities change, but you will eventually get to where you want to be, and obtain the successes you so desire.
