What is UrbanPro?
UrbanPro.com is India’s favorite learning destination where tutors, trainers and training institutes connect with students across India, to bridge learning gap and generate revenue for our Tutors and Institutes.
When was it established?
It was established in 2011 by Rakesh Kalra.
How did UrbanPro get its name?
The company started out as ThinkVidya.com, helping students find quality tutors and training institutes to meet their learning requirements. In April 2015, whilst continuing our focus in the education sector, we started offering services in various categories including Hobby Classes and IT Courses. Thus, we rebranded ourselves as UrbanPro.com, to have a more generic name with global potential.
What does UrbanPro do?
UrbanPro.com is an educational marketplace where students across 1,000 categories, both academic and non-academic, can hire a quality tutor or training institute, to accomplish their learning goals. On the other hand, skilled professionals and training institutes who are passionate about teaching can grow their revenue by offering their educational services.
Where is UrbanPro based?
UrbanPro.com is headquartered in Bangalore. The company has offices in Chennai, Delhi and Mumbai.
What are the goals of UrbanPro?
We aim to help our 12 lakh registered students across 1,000 categories to find the right Tutor or Institute, for fulfilling their learning needs within their budget and at their preferred location. At UrbanPro.com, the decision to hire a Tutor or Institute is purely the customer’s decision.
What types of customers does UrbanPro have?
We have two major types of customers – Tutors & Institutes and Students.
Do you consider any other companies out there your competition?
Competition is in every industry. We don’t consider any company as our competitor. We focus on our goal to become India’s largest educational marketplace and work towards achieving it.
What types of employees do you have?
We have mostly full-time employees. We also open up few intern positions from time to time.
