Military Training For Your Job
Often times we associate military training with discipline and mindless obedience, but this is not always the case. When you train for the outdoors, you learn a valuable set of skills that will prove useful in many aspects of life.
Both military and airsoft training challenge your physical and mental abilities. Even more, specialists recommend airsoft as one of the best activities to try when you want to improve yourself and get a better career path.
But how can airsoft help with your job? I know, it sounds crazy! Still, what we do in our free time are not just leisure time activities. I think these are the activities that shape us as people and as better employees and colleagues. Even more, team building in sportive activities was proven to increase group cohesion and develop skills that will benefit the team. You also learn to anticipate one’s needs which can be a fantastic skill in any line of work.
For instance, airsoft is one of the most recommended activities for outdoor team building. When you have a group of people, and you need to teach them collaborative work, the most fun and effective way is to give them guns and put them on an airsoft field as a team. By the end of the day, they’ll learn about team work, and they’ll get rid of animosities and tensions.
Working with airsoft guns also teaches you about responsibility and honor. BB guns are very realistic (you can see how on Goog Gun) and, in many cases, it feels like you’re holding a real gun. You have to undergo training, and you need to wear protective gear – all these increase your sense of responsibility, a trait highly valued in any career path.
Besides learning about team work, airsoft and military training will also help in developing your leadership abilities. Being the leader of a team is a fantastic experience and will teach you about taking fast decisions under high levels of pressure. Even more, you must take care of every member of your team, and make sure everyone understands their role.
Airsoft training is also a great way of learning about strategies and tactical approach. On the field, you must devise a plan, and you must try to anticipate your enemy’s move which can be helpful when you’re preparing to meet a new client. If you learn to plan your meetings and you are prepared for any possible outcome, your success rate will improve.
One huge factor that affects people’s performance at work is stress. According to recent surveys, over 30% of employees in the US and around 34% employees in the UK claim high levels of stress at their workplace. This reduces productivity and leads to disengagement towards the job.
Airsoft is both a mental and physical activity, and nothing releases stress like shooting someone (with a BB gun)! This is an activity you can perform both indoors and outdoors and delivers a great cardio exercise (if you’re not a sniper). In any case, it keeps you focused and away from work problems, phones, and emails.
Speaking of cardio and exercise, work in an office is one of the main health risks in today’s world. People sit down a lot these days, and this can lead to a wide range of diseases which reduce productivity. Now, many choose to go to the gym and get their daily dose of exercise, but this is a tedious activity that doesn’t come with many satisfactions.
Airsoft, on the other hand, is an interesting activity that keeps you engaged and active. Believe me, after a round on the field you’ll feel the burn in your muscles for a few days! It keeps your mind active, your heart beating fast, and brings in a lot more fresh oxygen than any cardio you might be doing in the gym.
