Successful People And Favorite Places
The most successful business leaders in the world are of course sources of inspiration for many budding entrepreneurs and career minded individuals. Many will utilise their quotes and recommendations in the hope they can imitate their success. Have you ever wondered however what inspires the greatest minds themselves? Do they look at quotes from gurus before them or do they find creative gems hidden in simple pleasures such as a book or a song.
It’s useful to know how people found success, but we think it’s also interesting to delve further into the origins of their creativity. Is there a common pattern behind the greatest achievements? Well Berkeley Build did some research and discovered behind some of the world’s renowned leaders is a happy place, a go to location they frequent to unwind, reset and find focus. They have created some illustrations showcasing their headspaces and it’s surprising how humble some of these locations are considering the wealth of the individuals. Oprah is a billionaire and can afford to travel anywhere in the world, yet her place of serenity is her own back garden. Likewise, Bill Gates, he chooses a remote town in Croatia with a population of 4,000 people to escape the daily pressures.
It also came at a bit of a surprise to see just how much of an impact these places had on their careers. Take Barack Obama for example, he was born in Hawaii, spent much of his childhood there and he still holidays there often with his family. He’s been captivated by the ‘aloha spirit’ so much so he tried to incorporate this into this presidency. His wife said to understand Barack, you needed to understand Hawaii.
