Meet Your Annoying Neighbors
Whether or you own your own home or choose to rent, there’s one thing we all have in common: neighbors. And as it turns around most of them drive us crazy!
Improvenet recently surveyed 2,500 people living in two dozen cities to find out how Americans feel about their neighbors. Their analysis looked at overall levels of frustration, the prevalence of 36 common annoyances, and the touchy subject of confrontation.
The survey from Improvenet was conducted in August of 2018 using the Amazon Mechanical Turk platform to survey 2,500 adult residents of 24 of the largest cities in the United States. The results were based on a sample of at least 100 residents from each city.
Topping the list of most annoying cities was Dallas, Miami, Austin, Philadelphia and Los Angeles to round out the top 5. The survey also found that over 54% of Americans have confronted a neighbor with the top methods of confrontation being face to face, by calling the police, by calling their neighbor, through a home/condo association and a signed note. Some people even went through an attorney to confront a neighbor. To see the full analysis check out the infographic below.
