[Survey] Americans Rate Favorite Gaming Apps of 2022
The days are getting shorter, and many Americans will turn to their devices on those cold winters’ nights. Are they putting the anticipated extra screen time to good use?
We surveyed over 900 people nationwide and found 93% play games on their phones. Where do educational apps and games like Wordle and Duolingo fit into the picture? And what brain-building games do Americans prefer? Highlights include:
- 53% of Americans game daily: 3 in 4 play primarily on their phones
- Only 18% of people play games to “learn something”
- Americans rated Duolingo, Wordle, Chess, and Words with Friends as their top educational games
- 96% believe that playing games keeps the mind sharp and helps with learning
According to respondents, the top skills honed by playing games include memory, critical thinking, and language skills — 3 in 4 said Wordle helps increase their vocabulary!
