Crypto survey reveals members of British public believe Ethereum is a drug, gas or metal

A study has revealed a lack of knowledge and trust in cryptocurrencies with members of the public believing Ethereum is a drug and Cardano a cheese, and 64% of people thinking its an unsafe investment.

Traders of Crypto has revealed the findings of a survey that was conducted to discover just how much the general public knows about cryptocurrency and their thoughts on it’s future.

Despite all of the noise surrounding cryptocurrencies, surprisingly just under a quarter have “no idea” what crypto is (22%).

The research also reveals:

A quarter of respondents (25%) still have no idea what Dogecoin is, despite Elon Musk’s support for the meme coin.
3.6% of respondents thought Cardano was a cheese while 3.4% believe Ethereum is a drug.
Bitcoin remains the cryptocurrency with the most awareness, with only 1 in 10 not knowing what it is.
