This is my personal review and opinion of a program that I came across.
As a web developer, it is important that I be able to convert PDF documents into other formats on the fly.
Why is this important? Have you ever received a PDF document that you needed to make changes to but were 
unable because you didn’t have Adobe Acrobat? I found a program called Able2Extract by InvestinTech that easily converts files from PDF to any other format. Not only does Able2Extract make editing PDF files extremely easy, it converts PDF files into the format of your choice, for example you can convert a pdf into DOC (Microsoft Office), ODT (OpenOffice), PPT (Microsoft Powerpoint), PUB (Microsoft Publisher, HTML, XLS or XLSX (Microsoft Excel or DXF (Autocad).
Able2Extract gives you the option of converting a single file or multiple files (batch). The user interface is extremely user-friendly and gives you tooltips to help you along the way. After you’ve started the program, click Open in the upper left hand corner. Browse and select the document you wish to convert. Once opened, you can select to export the entire document or have the ability to select regions of the PDF file that you want to export. Once the selection is made you will be prompted to select which file type to convert to along the top of the program.
Once you have made your selection, Able2Extract will convert the document and then open the new document format you have previously selected, so that you can make changes or save. The conversion process is extremely quick and the program automatically opens the converted file. While I often do send documents in PDF format, there are plenty of times where I need to update a resume or a document from PDF format and converting it back into a Microsoft document or HTML file is useful. One of the most useful features, above all is the fact that it can convert PDF to Excel files. PDF is amazing to always keep the proper formatting, but sometimes you need to retrieve the document as a spreadsheet. This program has no issues with converting a PDF to Excel – and is able to keep the formatting. Able2Extract helps me do all this quickly and effortlessly.
This program is offered on Windows Vista, 7, and 8 platforms, Mac OS X, and Linux.
